Black Bar for Sheffield

Large Sections, Cut to Length.

Hot rolled black bar is the economic choice when the part is getting machined all over anyway, and the only choice when the section is large. We stock black round bar from 16mm to 600mm diameter — one of the widest single-stockholder ranges in the UK — with RONTGEN band saws on site that cut the full 600mm.

The grades Sheffield’s heavy engineers call for are on the floor: EN8 for general work, EN19 for high-tensile shafts and gears, pre-treated EN24T for the most demanding sections, EN16 in between, and S355 J2 for structural and fabrication work.

Delivery detail: own fleet into Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley and Doncaster 4–5 times per week. Billets and cut pieces travel in cradles on our own flatbeds.
