A steel stockholder is only as good as the steel it has on the floor and the speed at which it can turn an order around. That is the lens through which we have designed every aspect of this facility — the racking layout, the saw lineup, the loading bays, the delivery schedule.

Operating from a single location is a deliberate choice. It means our stock is always where our saws are, our saws are always where our loading bays are, and our loading bays are always where our vehicles are. No inter-site transfers. No split stock. No delays while material moves between buildings.

When a customer calls with an urgent requirement, we can check stock, schedule a saw, and confirm a delivery time in a single conversation. That is what one location means in practice.

With up to 5,000 tonnes of engineering steel bar in stock across 20+ grades received from mills across the globe, we can make commitments that smaller operations cannot. When a customer needs 200 pieces of EN19 this week, the answer should be yes — and it usually is.

13 saws on site — 12 band saws and a TSUNE high-speed circular saw — means we are never bottlenecked at the cutting stage. We can run multiple jobs simultaneously and absorb volume spikes without pushing lead times out.

Loaded Before 8am

Vehicles are loaded first thing every morning. Our routes run daily. When we tell a customer their steel will be there tomorrow, we mean the next working day — not sometime this week. Own fleet for regional routes, specialist carriers for the rest of the UK.

We take delivery from steel mills across Europe and beyond — receiving bar in full mill lengths and holding it in stock ready for immediate cutting and dispatch. Our cantilever racking system is designed for rapid material identification and retrieval, keeping the time between order confirmation and saw loading to an absolute minimum.

Holding up to 5,000 tonnes from a single location means our buyers can plan stock purchases to take advantage of mill lead times and market conditions, keeping shelves full without the complexity of managing multiple sites. When stock levels are healthy, lead times stay short.

All incoming material is identity-marked, grade-checked and documented on arrival. Material test certificates to EN 10204 2.2 and 3.1 are available on all alloy grades — full traceability from mill certificate to your delivery note.

No Queue.

Thirteen saws on a single site is not the norm in UK steel stockholding. For us it means the saw is never the bottleneck. When multiple large orders arrive simultaneously — as they do — we can run them in parallel rather than queue them.

Our saw fleet covers everything from small-diameter bright bar production on COSEN band saws through to large-section cutting on the RONTGEN bj-alfa, capable of diameters up to 600mm. The TSUNE high-speed circular saw handles bulk orders where speed and face quality are both critical.

Standard cut tolerance is −0 / +2mm across all profiles. One piece minimum. No maximum batch size. 2–3 day turnaround on cut-to-length work. Next day picking on full-bar stock lines.
