Last updated: June 2026 • These terms govern all sales by Parkside Steel (Stockholders) Ltd.
“Company” means Parkside Steel (Stockholders) Ltd, Company No. 01325509, Byron House, 4 Willow Drive, Sherwood Park, Annesley, Nottinghamshire NG15 0DP.
“Customer” means the business or individual placing an order.
“Goods” means the steel bar and associated products supplied by the Company.
2.1 All orders placed with the Company are subject to acceptance by the Company. A contract is formed when the Company accepts an order in writing (including by email or order confirmation).
2.2 The Customer is responsible for ensuring that their order specification (grade, profile, size, quantity, length, certification requirements) is correct before placing the order. The Company is not liable for errors in specifications provided by the Customer.
2.3 All orders are accepted subject to stock availability. The Company will notify the Customer promptly if goods are unavailable.
3.1 Prices quoted are exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated. VAT will be added at the prevailing rate.
3.2 Prices quoted are valid for 30 days from the date of quotation unless otherwise specified.
3.3 Payment terms for account customers are strictly 30 days net from invoice date unless otherwise agreed in writing. The Company reserves the right to charge interest on overdue amounts at 8% above the Bank of England base rate under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
3.4 The Company reserves the right to request payment in advance for new customers or for orders above agreed credit limits.
4.1 Delivery dates given by the Company are estimates and are not guaranteed delivery dates. The Company will use reasonable endeavours to meet estimated delivery dates but shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from late delivery.
4.2 The Customer must inspect goods on delivery and notify the Company of any shortages, damage or discrepancies within 48 hours of delivery. Failure to notify within this period may affect the Customer’s right to make a claim.
4.3 Risk in the goods passes to the Customer on delivery.
4.4 Title in the goods remains with the Company until payment in full is received.
5.1 Goods are supplied to the specification confirmed on the order acknowledgement. Minor variations in chemical composition within the relevant standard are acceptable.
5.2 Material test certificates (EN 10204 2.2 or 3.1) are available on alloy steel grades and must be requested at the time of ordering. The Company cannot retrospectively provide witnessed 3.1 certificates for material already despatched unless the original mill documentation supports this.
5.3 The Customer is responsible for ensuring that the grade specified is suitable for their application. The Company provides technical guidance in good faith but does not accept liability for consequential losses arising from grade selection decisions made by the Customer.
6.1 Goods correctly supplied to specification cannot be returned without prior written agreement from the Company. A restocking charge may apply.
6.2 Where goods are supplied incorrectly or are defective, the Company’s liability is limited to replacement of the goods or a credit note to the value of the goods. The Company does not accept liability for consequential or indirect losses.
6.3 Cut-to-length goods are non-returnable unless there is a demonstrable error in the specification supplied by the Company.
The Company is not liable for failure to perform its obligations where such failure results from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to steel mill closures, transport disruption, industrial action, war or natural disaster.
8.1 The Company’s total liability for any claim arising from a contract shall not exceed the value of the goods in question.
8.2 Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraudulent misrepresentation.
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with English law. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
