Bright drawn hexagon bar (hex bar) in 20+ engineering steel grades — 5mm A/F to 90mm A/F, metric and imperial. The A/F dimension matches standard spanner and collet sizes directly. Cut to any length from one piece.

Hexagon bar is bright drawn to a hexagonal cross-section. The six flat faces are produced to precise A/F (across-flats) dimensions matching standard spanner, wrench and collet sizes. This means hex bar can be loaded directly into a hex collet chuck at the nominal A/F size without any preliminary machining to produce the hex profile from round bar.
EN1A and EN1A Pb (free-cutting grades) are the most common grades for hexagon bar — used for high-volume production of nuts, bolts, fittings and connectors on automatic lathes and CNC turning centres. EN8 hex bar is specified where higher tensile strength is required alongside the hex profile. Imperial hex sizes match Whitworth and BSF nut and bolt specifications.
