What the TSUNE Does
The TSUNE is our high-speed circular saw — the machine we turn to for production cutting. Where a band saw works through a billet steadily, the TSUNE is built for speed and repeatability: hundreds of identical pieces, cut fast, with a clean square face on every one. For repeat-quantity work — blanks for machining, multiples for fabrication — it is the most productive machine on our floor.
Until now, its limitation was on the output side. Longer cut pieces needed more handling as they came off the saw, which slowed the cycle on exactly the jobs where the TSUNE’s speed matters most: bulk orders.
What the Outfeed Table Changes
The new outfeed table extends the supported run on the output side of the saw. Longer pieces come off the machine supported and controlled, with less manual handling between cuts. In practice that means the saw spends more of its time cutting and less time waiting — and cycle times on bulk orders for longer pieces drop accordingly.
Who Benefits
- Machine shops ordering blanks in volume — repeat quantities of the same length come through faster, so your machining schedule is not waiting on ours.
- Fabricators with longer piece requirements — the jobs that previously carried the longest lead times are exactly the ones this investment speeds up.
- Anyone on a deadline — more throughput on the TSUNE frees band saw capacity for everything else, so the whole cutting operation runs quicker.
This is part of a continuing pattern of investment in cutting capacity — thirteen saws now run on site, covering everything from 3mm bright bar to 600mm black billets. The full capability is described on our sawing & cut-to-length service page.
